Attorney Raymond M. Adler was admitted to the Indiana bar in 1975, and has practiced law for nearly 40 years. Mr. Adler is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Chemistry from Purdue University.Mr. Adler is a veteran of armed services, and attended Fort Knox Armor School. In 1975, prior to entering private practice, Mr. Adler served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Indiana. Mr. Adler then worked as an attorney for Webb & Webb. Following his employment at Webb & Webb, Mr. Adler started his own private practice.
Mr. Adler served as the Hamilton County Attorney from approximately 1985-1989. Mr. Adler has also served as attorney for various county offices including as attorney for the Carmel BZA, attorney for the Plan Commission, attorney for Noblesville City Council, Jackson Township attorney, White River Township attorney, and Kirklin Town attorney.
Mr. Adler is the current President and senior attorney of Adler Tesnar & Whalin. Mr. Adler has worked out of the Historic Adler Building since 1990. The Adler Building was the previous home of the First Christian Church, and was originally built in 1896, but renovated in the late 1980’s by Mr. Adler into office space.
Mr. Adler practices in many areas of law, including, but not limited to, all aspects of family law (divorce, custody, child support, contempt, relocation, adoptions, guardianships, etc.), civil litigation, personal injury (car accidents, slip and falls, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death claims), estate and probate administration (wills, administration, etc.), and real estate law (deed preparation, eminent domain, land contracts, purchase agreement litigation, etc.). Mr. Adler has nearly 40 years of experience in the practice of law and has handled over 10,000 cases, ranging from a criminal death penalty case, to wrongful death claims, to multi-million dollar dissolution of marriage asset cases, to no-asset dissolution of marriage cases. Mr. Adler has been and is able to use his vast experience and knowledge to assist his past, current,and future clients in their ongoing legal needs.
In his spare time, Mr. Adler enjoys being actively involved in his church, Arcadia Christian Church. Mr. Adler has served on numerous school boards, private corporations, and not for profit organizations. Raymond currently resides in Atlanta, Indiana, with his wife, Kathy to whom he has been married for over 37 years. They live in their historic home that was built in 1858. He and his wife have two adult children, Sarah and Tom, and a son-in-law, Jason.
